Trumped by the Crowd

Hey folks, if you ever have the opportunity to attend a presidential political rally, one thang is for sure, it ain't boring! Despite your personal beliefs, you can have a great time no matter if you are on the left, right, or some where in the middle. Yesterday, Donald Trump visited little ol' Wilmington, NC. Even though my friends and I had tickets, the fire marshal denied entry to us and about a thousand others 'cause the joint was too packed. Not to worry, 'cause we had a blast outside and made the most of the situation.

Here's my top 10 reasons why you should attend a political rally:
1. The entertainment is free.
2. You meet some nice and interesting people while standing in line for hours.
3. Suddenly you appreciate having friends and supporters in this world. No one wants to stand alone.
4. When you realize you are as orange as The Donald ya know ya gotta start makin' some changes!
5. Ya gotta respect the creativity of the protestors.
6. Friends on the inside with a bird's eye view will hook you up with pics.
7. If you are real lucky, you might spot Clark Kent in the crowd.
8. The enthusiasm of our youth is encouraging.
9. You can get excellent photo ops of all VIP's at the exits.
10. Standing outside in 100% humidity for over 3 hours allows you to fit into your skinniest jeans for at least 2 days without having to do a nasty cleanse.

You're right - nice to see the youth see the truth.

  8. Wow, this is fantastic. That looks like a damn fun time. And it kinda makes you wonder the thought process that goes through some people's heads before showing up to such a thing.

"Today I'm going to go protest a Trump rally. Better get into my banana costume and whip up some fat rhymes." - dude in the protester pic that looks like he's trying to challenge you to a rap battle

  9. I think that would be fun. Lots of interesting types would show up for a Trump rally. Although...there have been some of those rallies that had some violence. Hope you girls took your self defense classes before going. Love your pictures and comments. Very funny.

    1. We were a bit afraid of some crazies. Police were there in full force and did have to escort some people out because they just can't behave.

  10. I often wonder if Donald Trump is just throwing the election for Hillary and this was the game-plan from day one. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

  11. Of course, if you were inside you could have heard the man suggest the 2nd Adm folks take out Hillary and her judges (of course, he was only talking about in the ballot box, yeah ,right, I ain't buying it). I was shocked at how my hometown made international news and according to my Facebook feed, I knew plenty of folks there. BTW, in 1976, in Wilmington I got to hear Carter and later that year at the State Fair in Raleigh heard Ford. And I did go to a Bernie rally last year in Savannah.

    1. We did hear the live feed outside. Much more hatred toward our Governor I can tell ya that. He was booed when he took the stage. This town ain't too friendly toward the dude who took away the film industry incentive that is a HUGE part of this town.
