Color Me Crazy

Have any of you gotten into the adult coloring book craze? They are flying off book store shelves lately. Color me crazy, but I find it so relaxing to sit on my fat arse in the late afternoon, open up my stash of colored pencils and try to stay within the lines while sippin' on an adult beverage. That's no easy feat lemme tell ya folks! Here are a few of my creations so far:
Definite beginner's luck on this one.
Getting better.
Got my Mo Jo goin' on.
Found my true calling with the swear word coloring book!

  1. Like the last one!
Those others look like the designs we drew with Spirograph. Remember those?

  4. These are great! I have three adult coloring books and I swear they're great therapy (because it's either that or massive amounts of wine. I figure coloring is better).

  5. The swear word colouring book! YES :) Your results are great...even after the 'adult beverage' :) I haven't started this book craze yet but I was searching online for them yesterday, so I imagine it won't be long.

    1. I wish I would have thought of the swear word coloring book 'cause it's a best seller on Amazon right now.

  7. I hope you hung that last one on your fridge. I can't even color within the lines while sober, which is why I stick to computer art (it fills the color in for you - score!).

  8. I need the swear word one.

Colouring is so fun, and relaxing. The whole family has been sucked in. We're currently working on the enchanted forest and the Bible verse colouring books. I've probably accumulated like $400 worth of fancy pens in the last few months because of these books...

  9. I'd frame that last one and leave it in a Vatican Mens Room.

  11. Those are very pretty and it tells me you have a lot of patience. I looked at some of the adult coloring books remembering how much I loved coloring as a kid, only to recognize how detailed the pictures are. I think I need to stick to Bugs Bunny and Donald Duck coloring books.

  14. I saw a political comic strip yesterday that was in 2045 and a kid asked his grandfather how President Trump was elected and was told, "Well, that was the year adults discovered coloring books." That said, I can see why they are being "discovered."

  15. Okay, the swear one I could really get into. The others look like way too much work and way too many lines to stay within. You did a beautiful job, especially with an adult beverage in hand.

  16. I knew the last one had to get interesting!! I have seen these but I haven't participated. At least, not yet!

  17. I haven't gotten into the coloring books. Although I could use an adult beverage and might be inclined to give it a whirl... At least the swear one. Do you have to put money in the swear jar for each page?

  18. Mum got into a couple of books last year but I was done with that when I was a kid. If I ended up with any it would be for show not using.

  19. I haven't really heard of these but I have some coloring books from my childhood that I still use sometimes, lol. Not often but it's fun to color!
